Underrated ramen spot! The Black Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen is my go-to! The broth is from scratch daily. The chashu is generously sliced (compared to most other ramen shops) and the toppings are high quality.

Went here with my wife after a bit of shopping. We walked up to the counter to order our food. We asked questions about some items and got good answers. I got a teriyaki rice bowl and my wife got a salmon plate. My chicken was tender and delicious. My wife enjoyed the salmon. She said she would like to come back and try other things. Me too!

Not the best, but not bad either. I don't get the bone broth goodness from their tonkotsu ramen like I do at some of the high end places like Ippudo. And their egg is over done. But it's affordable and good for the neighborhood ramen place. I actually liked the Katsu Curry more than their ramen. BTW, their spicy looks spicy, but it's not. Go for extra spicy if you like spicy.

Decided to come to Kyoto Ramen late on a Sunday evening because we didn't feel like cooking. There was no wait. You order at the counter and then get seated at an open table. The restaurant gave mom and pop shop vibes and is tucked away inside of el Cerrito plaza. Food itself was pretty good for the price and what it is. Definitely not the best ramen I've had in my entire life but again - it's good for what it is. We got a mild black garlic ramen and a medium spice tonkatsu ramen. The ramen broth was thin and definitely not as umami as I would've liked, but there was a lot of nice chewy noodles in it and plenty of bean sprouts and greens. The eggs were decent. The pork was a little over cooked and not as tender as I would've liked. But at the end of the meal they gave us free orange slices which was orettt nice. Overall was pretty good for a late night ramen meal so I'd definitely come back in the future if I wanted something quick.

I've eaten here twice and both times the food has been very good. I recently had the Miso Ramen and it was good and filling.

Went with my daughter and mom for lunch in the middle of the week. I was craving Japanese curry so this was the perfect place. My mom got the tonkotsu ramen spicy, my daughter had the teriyaki salmon plate it comes with white rice and macaroni salad, I ordered the chicken katsu curry bowl and a side of California roll. My mom really enjoyed her ramen, although she said it could have been a little spicier; she loves spicy food. My daughter enjoyed her enormous salmon teriyaki plate. I ate her macaroni salad which was super yummy and tangy. I loved my curry bowl, the chicken was moist it definitely satisfying my craving. The California roll wasn't the best I've ever had but I didn't expect much from a non sushi place. All in all, we liked the food and service. The place was packed during the lunch rush but the one employee who was the cashier and food runner did a great job at bringing what we needed. Another plus is that they had my daughter's favorite ramune flavor. I would come here again if I'm craving Japanese curry, ramen, and teriyaki. I want to come back to try their Hawaiian BBQ plates and extensive list of appetizers.

I visited a cozy, family-friendly restaurant with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I was glad to see that they provided a highchair for little ones. Although I only got take-out, I could tell that the restaurant had a welcoming and comfortable vibe. The chicken dish I ordered was piping hot, remarkably tender, and packed with delicious flavors. This was my first time trying Japanese curry, and its taste pleasantly surprised me. Opting for the extra hot spiciness added an exciting kick to the dish, and I especially enjoyed the side of pickled beets. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I look forward to returning.

Our goto ramen spot. Whenever weve come, theres not much people in the restaurant. Food comes out pretty quick. Flavor of the soup is really good. Lots of options for add ons. Love coming here for my ramen fix.

Black garlic ramen - flavorful broth and nice and chewy noodles. Chasu was tender and complemented the broth really well. Nothing really to complain about as it's a solid bowl of ramen! Pork katsu - katsu was crissssspy and the curry tasted just like the curry blocks I use when I make curry at home. It's definitely comfort food for sure. The pickled plums were a nice compliment as well. Portion size was enough to share. Food came out fast and hot. Seems like this place is ran by a family. It's an order at the counter and find a spot to sit at type of deal. Deff will come back when I'm in the area.

Cute place to drop by for snacks, food and more! Reasonable prices and food came out relatively fast. It took about 10-15 minutes for our food. The portions are pretty generous and the food tastes decent. The inside is pretty well kept overall. Nice place to drop by for some casual dining or snacking with loved ones. The plaza does get a bit busy so parking can take a few minutes to find but otherwise has lots of businesses to look around at in the area!
